peek at you arts....

The idea came to me when researching how I may promote myself and fellow artists at the same time.  With all the changes in technology I'm amazed at what can be done.  Had artists of past centuries been able to network their new ideas to get in touch with social issues they most certainly would have found this experience a kick. Social networking involves the ability to share information and let others know what we are doing.  It's a dynamic process.  We see what Facebook is as a social website, Twitter keeps people in touch by the minute.  Building and publishing blogs puts character to the subject and well developed websites make it easy for users to navigate their interests. What is amazing too is the general resistance that many of us have to trying out new things.  It is not the cost so much as it is a choice not to partake in many of these exciting innovations.  Why not?  ...I say, what do we have to lose?  The process of of confronting the unfamiliar may be part of why but let's face it - finding the time to do it is another huge part of pushing the envelope.  At the Banff Centre where I'll be exhibiting some of my works next week, I'll be putting more definition into exactly how peek at you arts works.  For now, it still remains a question as to how to best network with fellow artists.  I'll keep you updated as this discovery unravels.   Aeron
